That Guy Dave

Starting as a blues duo, and a side project from the rock/metal band, Rotary; That Guy Dave consisted of Reid Campbell, Guitar/Vocals; and Mike Johnston, Drums/Vocals. After next to no success, Rotary split up, and there was a time when Reid and Mike went their separate ways. Reid went on to Jam with ex-Sure Tones guitarist, Liam Campbell. They formed a band shortly after with former Rotary guitarist, Tyler Cameron, on bass. One problem, they needed a drummer, so they called on Mike to join up, and they adopted the name That Guy Dave. You can still hear some bluesy riffs in a few of their songs, as well as a mix of synth, mandolin, and different African drums.

Producing a sound that combines infectious melodies, catchy lyrics, and a high energy performance, this tight trio rocks listeners with driving rhythms, solid vocal harmonies and thick guitar tones. 

Their recent accolades include: Regional winner of the Canadian RadioStar National Songwriting Competition; and selection as showcase artists at NSMW, ECMA and CMW 2009. Bodog Music says of the band, "Songwriting is obviously their forte” and Q104FMs J.D. DeRosiers call them "One of the most full sounding three piece acts I have seen." Kist~By~A~Fist... Is A Progressive to Hard Rock Band, that has changed alot over the past few years. Beginning in Early 2006, The Band began with Dylan MacDonald, Dave Hunt, and Drums, Alex Deagle. From there the chemistry grew with constant sessions of the three members for the next 3 years. As another addition, Dylan MacDonald (v.1.1) from Inverness joined the group as the vocals and lead/rythym guitar. Just finishing up in the Studio we present our newest single "Fist Fighter", rumors are that "Soul Electric" and "Good Love" will be the next tunes dropped at SB Studio's. Feeling frustrated with scholastic life, Jenny picked up an old, broken guitar found in storage - the rest is history

Romantic in love, audacious in battle, and inspired to change the world. Jenny stomps her way through dirty rock songs, swings her way through gypsy jazz tunes, and pulls on your heart strings as she finds her home in a touching love song.

Since the release of her debut album, “Jenny Kissed Me” (2008), things have been moving quickly for Jenny. Successfully completing her first tour, Jenny has left her mark through the Eastern and Central provinces. Her album also earned her a feature spot on CBC Radio One's "Atlantic Airwaves", as well as special performances and interviews on Q104, The Fox, CFXU, and CKDU radio stations.

Comparisons have been drawn to Neko Case mixed with L7, Patsy Cline meets The Gun Club, The Gossip, and yeah…The Black Keys.
