Coming to Shindigs for the 1st time to play for our Valentine's Day Bash. John Ferguson began his musical career in Sydney, NS in 1972 as a founding member of the folk band "Miller's Jug". In 1977 he joined up with Dave Hickey & Don Moore in the Halifax group "McGinty" and has remained with the Halifax folk trio since. He also spent fourteen years (1990-2004) as a duo partner with Cape Breton songwriter Buddy MacDonald and now divides his time between McGinty, Glens & Roses (with St. Peter's musician Roger Stone), and his solo performances.John plays a number of stringed instruments & uses guitar, bouzouki, & fiddle in his stage shows. He sings in a strong baritone voice & his repertoire includes Celtic, Folk, tunes from contemporary composers & his own songs & tunes.
They're back for a Valentine's Day Bash. Following John Ferguson (McGinty), this amazing 10 pc band with horn section can't be missed. Granville Street Project has a wonderful group of local talent that enjoy playing together and gets the crowd up dancing. We enjoy them everytime!
